To help participants get the most out of the Forum activities, we encourage all Forum registrants to review the package of pre-read materials that will be available approximately one week in advance of the Forum.

Business Models Forum
1:00 pm-3:30

With the sales velocity for timeshare slowing due to the credit crisis; a real opportunity for introspection regarding our business model was born.  Now it is your turn to help the industry refine the next generation of vacation products and services.  Information developed by the Business Model Task Force will serve as the foundation for this interactive session.  This forum is designed to help us identify the characteristics of the timeshare product of the future.  What will it look like?  How will it be sold?  Who are the owners? This is your chance to get your fingerprints all over the industry's next iteration of vacation ownership.

To help participants get the most out of the Forum activities, we encourage all Forum registrants to review the package of pre-read materials that will be available approximately one week in advance of the Forum.

NOTE: This Forum is sold out.  You may add your name to the wait list when you complete your on-line Convention registration or by sending an email to dzanini@arda.org

Resale Forum

2:00 pm-4:00 pm

Moderator
: Darla S. Zanini RRP, ARDA International Foundation (AIF)

Resale Forum speakers include*:
Joshua M. Glazov, Chairman ARDA Resale Task Force
Lou Ann Burney ARP, ARDA

The need to develop and maintain a viable secondary market has been identified as critical to the continued health and growth of the vacation timeshare industry.  To that end ARDA has identified a three prong approach including regulatory reform, consumer education and research to address this key industry initiative.  The Resale Forum is your opportunity to learn of the work that ARDA and industry professionals have undertaken over the past year and to help set the agenda for the future.

Under the direction of Josh Glazov, the ARDA Resale Task Force has spent the past year drafting a Model Resale Act.  Josh will present key items from the proposed Model Act and share how the Model Act can be turned into regulatory reform.  Lou Ann Burney will provide highlights of key consumer education communications and share ARDA's plans for expanding this program. These presentations will be followed by a short Q & A opportunity.

The second half of the Resale Forum will be spent in an interactive exercise in which Forum attendees will be asked to tell ARDA what information they would like included in the upcoming 2010 AIF Resale Report.

NOTE: This Forum is sold out.  You may add your name to the wait list when you complete your on-line Convention registration or by sending an email to dzanini@arda.org
