AIF offers both educational and training resources and recognition programs for vacation ownership industry professionals.

AIF (with the American Hotel and Lodging Association) offers various training resources for all positions in the vacation ownership industry including self study courses and resource videos, textbooks and CD-Roms. AIF also produced a multimedia CD-Rom of the "Principles of Timeshare" which includes a video of the 2003 educational session with matching slides and a searchable transcript. Also available as a resource is the 2007 Timeshare Industry Resource Manual, a comprehensive “timeshare 101” textbook.

AIF offers two kinds of recognition programs for Timeshare Professionals. The designation programs include the Associate and Registered Resort Professional (ARP and RRP) programs, with requirements of passing a test based on the Timeshare Industry Resource Manual, earning credits and continuing industry participation. Achievement demonstrates industry knowledge, dedication and know-how. There is also a Certified Timeshare Supervisor certification program where individuals complete 9 self-study workbooks and pass a comprehensive test to achieve the CTS status, with no ongoing requirements.

Why participate in ARDA’s education programs?
  • Participation in the AIF educational programs signifies professional awareness, enhances workplace performance and fosters self-esteem.

  • For industry professionals, participation in these programs demonstrates to consumers, state regulators, the media and fellow industry professionals a commitment to quality and the ARDA Code of Standards and Ethics.

  • Vacation Ownership companies recognize the value that designations carry.
