Timeshare Datashare: Timeshare Occupancy Remains Strong

Provided by: ARDA International Foundation

While the hotel industry suffered from low occupancy rate for most of 2009, the timeshare occupancy rate remained strong for the first three quarters. According to the 2009 AIFQ3 Financial Performance Pulse Survey, timeshare occupancy rate was reported at an average of 81.3% during the period. The rate is seasonably higher than the average rate of 79.4% at Q2 and 71.6% at Q1. The Q3 quarterly study is conducted among 26 active selling timeshare development companies that account for a predominance of industry sales.
