Sales and marketing services, in the form of selling timeshare interests on behalf of other developers, is gaining popularity within the industry. A few new questions were asked as part of the 2011 Financial Performance survey related to these fee-for-service arrangements.
Of the 26 respondents, four companies are selling and marketing timeshare on behalf of other developers, and two companies are outsourcing the sales and marketing of these interests. The chart below reflects the amount of timeshare the first four companies sold on behalf of others.
