ARDA-Caribbean Strategic Priorities

Priority 1 – Legislative Advocacy:
Task: The committee will agree upon guiding principles Caribbean governments can use when considering new, or amending out dated, timeshare legislation.

Priority 2 – Industry Research:
Task: The state affairs team will work with the ARDA International Foundation to conduct a regional timeshare and vacation ownership census and economic impact study.
Task: The state affairs team will conduct a comprehensive regional study to determine what timeshare and/or condo statutes currently exist to better identify areas of legislative need.

Priority 3 – Strategic Partnerships:
Task: The state affairs team will work to strengthen relationships with national and regional level public and private sector tourism leaders, including, the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA), the Caribbean Society of Hotel Association Executives (CSHAE), International Air Transport Association (IATA), National Timeshare Associations, National and Regional Chambers of Commerce, the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), the Caribbean Tourism Development Company (CTDC), the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO), and the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS).

Priority 4 – Public/Media Relations:

Task: The state affairs team will coordinate relevant public relations/media campaigns in conjunction with strategic partners, the release of research studies, etc.
