Jamaica image 2Jamaica is one of the most popular tourism destinations in the Caribbean, which is why the Jamaican Ministry of Tourism decided to push forward with new timeshare legislation. In April 2011, ARDA-Caribbean representatives spoke to public and private tourism leaders at the Ministry of Tourism’s Annual Tourism Outlook Seminar held in Montego Bay about the many benefits timeshare provides.

The government and leaders representing Jamaica’s hospitality sector agree the timeshare industry has the potential to attract a wider variety of development to the Island. Ministry representatives have asked for ARDA-Caribbean’s involvement when they are ready to move legislation forward.

Rob Webb, ARDA Treasurer and ARDA-Caribbean delegate, was featured in an article published in the Jamaica Gleaner on Sunday, January 22, 2012 regarding the growth potential of the timeshare market in Jamaica.
