AIF/Foundation

The ARDA International Foundation (AIF) began in 1982 as the International Foundation for Timeshare (ITF) to fulfill the research needs of the fast-evolving timeshare industry. In 1997, it was restructured as a 501 (c) 3 organization and acquired its current name. Today, AIF continues to meet the industry's research and education needs, which include identifying consistent and ongoing benchmarks, expanding research, analyzing technological changes and impacts, and enhancing the public's knowledge of the timeshare industry.

"Support, conduct and disseminate research and technical studies that will enhance and improve knowledge for the public and the industry, and develop educational resources that will optimize operations, value, acceptance and service for the industry and the public."

Education

AIF provides training to the industry through a variety of designation programs, university partnerships, and educational courses. Participants earn professional designations and certifications, hone essential skills, and expand industry knowledge. University partners access AIF resources to help build course curricula and internship programs.  Through scholarship programs, both professors and students gain networking opportunities with industry leaders.The AIF also provides tools and tips for speaking to elected officials and other audiences.

Research

AIF continuously conducts surveys and research studies representing the most reliable data available on vacation ownership. These studies are available in the AIF Research Library for a small fee.

Fundraising

AIF relies on donations and sponsorships to produce research, studies and educational programs that advance the industry. Fundraising events and opportunities include the AIF Open Golf Tournament, the Interval International Party with a Cause and an annual giving campaign called Friends of the Foundation.
