Sandra DePoySandra DePoy, RRP
Senior Vice President, Federal Affairs

Sandra "Sam" Yartin DePoy is ARDA's Vice President for Federal and Regulatory Affairs.  In this capacity, Ms. DePoy's primary responsibility is to advance the association's legislative agenda on Capitol Hill and in the Executive Branch of government.  Sam closely monitors regulatory activities working with the Federal Trade Commission, Federal Communications Commission, Federal Election Commission as well as the Department of Housing and Urban Development.  She joined ARDA in January 1999 as Director of Federal Relations, ARDA-ROC and ARDA-PAC. Sam is no stranger to the real estate and financial services industry having served as Director, Political Affairs, to the Mortgage Bankers Association of America (MBA) and the Director of Government Affairs for the National Association of Realtors.


Kevin RileyKevin Riley
Director, Federal Legislation & ARDA-ROC

Kevin joined the ARDA Federal Affairs team in 2008 and is responsible for assisting in the management of ARDA's federal and regulatory affairs as well as the ARDA Resort Owners' Coalition, ARDA-PAC, and ARDA-ROC PAC.

Prior to joining ARDA, Kevin managed the governmental relations at a foreign policy think tank and later helped edit and draft environmental policy for a non-profit organization. As a dual-citizen of the United States and Germany, he's also gathered international experience, having trained German financial executives in intercultural communications and linguistics. He holds a B.A. in political science with a minor in German from Arizona State University.

 


Robert ClementsRobert Clements
Vice President, Regulatory Affairs

Robert is ARDA’s Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and oversees advocacy objectives to increase positive regulatory legislation that will support the timeshare industry, its owners and governing entities.

Prior to joining ARDA, Robert served as Senior Assistant Attorney General in Florida’s office of Attorney General for six years. As a well-seasoned law expert, Robert’s focus was in Consumer Protection, Multi-State Enforcement and Privacy Division. He has led an impactful charge with the enforcement of the Florida Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices Act, as well as numerous vital state and federal statutes, and rules and regulations. He has been instrumental to several joint investigations and enforcement actions with the Federal Trade Commission, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, the Office of Financial Regulation, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and other federal and state regulatory and law enforcement agencies.

No stranger to the legal practice, Robert also held his own private practice handling complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts, as well as corporate and transactional law, intellectual property law and real estate transactions.
