Kentucky

Democrat Steven Beshear was elected to his second term as Governor of Kentucky in 2011. The Kentucky Senate is controlled by Republicans who hold a 22-15 majority after gaining two seats in 2010. Democrats retain control of the House 59 – 40.

The Senate is led by President David Williams. The House is led by Speaker Greg Stumbo. The Kentucky Legislature convenes January 3, 2012.
