Tennessee

Republican Governor Bill Haslam was elected in 2010.  Republicans control the state-house, as well as both houses of the Legislature, with 20 - 13 majority in the Senate and a 64 - 34 majority in the House, with one Independent.

The Senate is led by Republican Speaker Ron Ramsey with Majority Leader Sen. Mark Norris and Minority Leader Sen. Jim Kyle.  The House is led by Republican Speaker Rep. Beth Harwell, with Majority Leader Rep Gerald McCormick and Minority Leader Greg Fitzhugh. The Tennessee State Legislature will convene January 8, 2013.
