ARDA-HAWAII DONATES $5,000 TO THE HAWAII FARM BUREAUTO AID FARMERS IMPACTED BY KONA LOW STORMS
HONOLULU – In response to the devastating March 2026 Kona low storms, ARDA-Hawaii, the trade organization representing Hawaii’s timeshare industry, has donated $5,000 to the Hawaii Farm Bureau (HFB) to aid local farmers and ranchers in their recovery efforts.
The contribution to HFB’s Farmers Disaster Relief Fund provides immediate financial assistance to agricultural producers working to rebuild after widespread losses. Funds support critical recovery needs, including replanting crops, restoring herds, repairing damaged infrastructure, replacing equipment, and stabilizing ongoing operations. The donation comes at a critical time, after local farmers suffered over $18 million in damages last month, placing significant strain on Hawaii’s local food supply.
“The Hawaii Farm Bureau does incredible work advocating for the men and women who feed our islands,” said Mitchell Imanaka, ARDA-Hawaii Chairman. “As farmers work to recover and rebuild, we are proud to stand with them, helping ensure they can remain on their land and continue strengthening Hawaiʻi’s agricultural future.”
