The Timeshare Industry Today
President/CEO Jason Gamel
One of the things I love most about this time of year is the high connectivity between our ARDA members as we prepare for our Spring Convention, Timeshare Together. The planning and preparation is in top gear for teams across the timeshare industry who plan to join us in-person and virtually June 10th at the Marriott Grande Lakes in Orlando. There’s still time to register and join our event offering six outstanding General Sessions with world class speakers, thought leaders, business influencers and educators. Each day also includes networking, professional development, and celebrations for all attendees. For me, the opportunity to learn from each other after such an unforgettable and remarkable year is at the core of who we are. You, our ARDA members provide an engaged community of committed and passionate stakeholders who have endured, responded and shown the world that the return of timeshare travel is part of our new normal. I hope you’ll come share your stories of leadership and insight at Timeshare Together with us this year!
Same great industry convention with a new name, new format, and new location.
Face-to-face or virtual — your choice!
This past year has been unforgettable which makes this years’ Gala Awards nominations more remarkable than ever! Join us as we congratulate these nominees, and we wish them luck as the Awards Ceremony and Celebration count down begins! Winners will be announced Wednesday evening June 9th during the 2021 Spring Conference -Timeshare Together!
Federal and State Legislation
2021 began with so much talk about the imperative of national unity. Then came the events surrounding January 6, impeachment and a $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package. This pushed Democrats and Republicans back to their respective corners. The cycle of political division is only worsening. The time for us to take action is now. That is why ARDA has strengthened our relationship with No Labels. The problems facing our industry and our country as a whole are simply too big to be solved by one party alone.
With a 50-50 Senate and Democrats holding a bare majority in the House, power is more evenly divided between the parties in Congress than it has been in decades. No Labels is working to bring Democrats, Republicans and independents into a governing coalition of elected officials, and the business community solely committed to finding two-party solutions to our nation’s toughest problems like infrastructure, immigration, and national security.
No Labels launched the creation of the House Problem Solvers Caucus, where members of Congress evenly divided between both parties come together to create a framework to shape and debate policy positions and two-party solutions.
