ARDAventure is a first-class annual VIP member retreat that connects, inspires and informs ARDA Trustee and Chairman’s League Members in a truly unique luxury destination each year. The event is a highly curated experience complete with excursions, innovative sessions and amazing culinary delights.
This year’s event, ARDAventure VIP: Cliffside Crest, was held in beautiful La Jolla, California at The Lodge at Torrey Pines, and was an unforgettable experience for our VIP members.
2024 ARDAVENTURE VIP RETREAT RECAP
The retreat kicked-off with two important ARDA Executive Committe and Board meetings, where ARDA leadership discussed what’s in store for the rest of 2024 and beyond.
Next, guests attended a Welcome Reception, sponsored by First American Title Insurance Company, where they enjoyed the gorgeous California weather, mingled with colleagues from across the industry, sipped on cocktails and snacked on hors d'oeuvres.

Day two of the retreat began with a breakfast, sponsored by Tango, that featured U.S. soccer legend Landon Donovan as the keynote speaker. Landon shared the inside track on his iconic career, from helping shape Major League Soccer (MLS) and pioneering the promotion of mental health in the sport, to scoring World Cup goals on the way to becoming USA’s joint top scorer.

Landon was then joined on stage by ARDA President & CEO Jason Gamel for a fireside chat about Landon’s illustrious career and legacy and answered several questions from the audience.

Following the inspiring breakfast discussion, our members participated in an outdoor activity of their choice for the afternoon. Attendees picked from various excursion options, including golfing on the iconic Torey Pines Golf Course, hiking, kayaking, wine tasting or surfing.

We ended the day with a dinner on the lawn of the hotel, sponsored by First American Title Insurance Company, that included breathtaking views of the iconic golf course, a live band, tequila tasting, custom luggage tag making, lawn games, and a delicious buffet-style spread.

The event concluded on Thursday morning with a breakfast, sponsored by Flywire, and a presentation from ARDA’s new PR agency, Weber Shandwick. During the session, ARDA and Weber Shandwick shared plans for our future industry PR efforts with VIP members. Members also had the opportunity to provide feedback on our upcoming industry campaign in real time.
