
Gas Prices Impact on Future Travels
According to the latest wave of the Back-to-Normal Barometer conducted around June 15, 2022, one-third of travelers are considering fewer trips in response to higher gas prices. The trend is pretty consistent among active Americans (32%) and timeshare owners (33%). Slightly more timeshare owners may travel closer to home (30% vs. 26%). Approximately a quarter of travelers reported that it still depends on how high the prices go (25% active Americans and 23% timeshare owners). In addition, 15% of active Americans and timeshare owners respectively said nothing will stop them from traveling in 2022 after the last two years.
