It’s Time to Bring Us Together Again!
June 6-10 | Orlando, FL
JW Marriott Orlando at Grande Lakes
ARDA’s reimagined annual convention is ready to host timeshare’s best and brightest.
The turn of the calendar to 2021 has brought with it a revitalized, invigorating passion surrounding timeshare, and ARDA’s annual convention will bring the industry together in June to celebrate.
“Our annual convention means so much on so many levels for this industry,” said ARDA President and CEO Jason Gamel. “This year, more than ever, we’re ready to bring timeshare back together!”
Originally slated for the Bellagio in Las Vegas, ARDA’s annual convention will instead be held in Orlando, Florida — timeshare’s true hometown. And location isn’t the only change: New sessions, a new format, new ideas, and a completely different brand will set the stage for a convention like none before it.
Say goodbye to ARDA World and hello to Timeshare Together, the new face of timeshare’s most can’t-miss event of the year. ARDA has been hard at work rolling out the convention re-brand, which represents the industry’s momentum in the new year.
“With the surging return of travel, in-person gatherings, and that of our businesses, members, and constituents, ARDA felt this refresh of our annual convention branding was only fitting,” said Catherine Lacey, RRP, ARDA’s vice president of meetings and ARDA International Foundation’s executive director. “We saw a chance to bring further life to an industry that’s solving for the healthy return of hospitality in 2021 and deliver an event that was missed so dearly [last year] by so many in timeshare.”
Along with that event rebrand will be a new format and new sessions that allow for both virtual and in-person engagement, the most pertinent subject matter, and countless flexible opportunities for networking, committee meetings, education, awards, and more.
“It’s time to bring our community back together,” said Lacey. “The new-look Timeshare Together annual conference will undoubtedly accomplish that effectively — and then some.”
Over the past year, timeshare has had to overcome obstacles like the industry has never seen, and Timeshare Together will aim to bring you the most relevant insights and programming for you and your businesses.
The pandemic response and recovery in our industry has seen its share of challenges, but given the desire of people in our field to understand how we can help each other, the positives can’t be understated. Now, there are plenty of new issues to confront — and some that still permeate how we conduct business in timeshare — and there will be discussions around how we continue to thrive in this evolving normal.
Diversity and inclusion, too, cannot be ignored, and our industry knows how important this topic truly is. Programming related to how you can best foster diversity and inclusion in your organization will be key to bolstering your culture, your policies, and your brand moving forward. Timeshare Together will offer education around this topic and set you up for success.
Advocacy is one of the main reasons ARDA exists — to give your businesses a voice that’s heard on Capitol Hill and in state capitals. ARDA’s excellent, sharp team of federal and state legal experts, as well as other industry veterans in that space, will offer insight into regulatory and legislative initiatives facing timeshare in the new presidential administration. You’ll probably learn a thing or two about getting in touch with your own local representatives to make your voice heard even clearer.
So what about marketing? Well, the future is now with digital marketing. How you communicate your brand, your ideals, and everything you can offer owners and guests is of the utmost importance, and doing it digitally through social media, email campaigns, and more can keep you ahead of the competition. Informative sessions surrounding all things digital marketing will be ready for you.
“Speaking of digital marketing,” said Jenny Davlin, ARDA’s chief business officer, “ARDA continues to ‘Take Back the Narrative’ with its Responsible Exit and Love My Timeshare campaigns. Timeshare Together is an excellent opportunity for us to provide updates to these key initiatives and share actionable insight on how to get involved on social media through Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.”
It would be a massive oversight to not mention safety. It’s been at the forefront of nearly everything that’s happened in our industry over the past year, and it will certainly be a top priority at Timeshare Together.
First off, ARDA certainly understands if you still are not comfortable with attending an in-person event this year. So, if traveling to Timeshare Together is out of the question for you, ARDA has you covered with virtual programming for general sessions and other select event programming. Whether you join us on site or via livestream, you’ll be engaged and have the opportunity to truly enjoy the convention experience.
For those of you planning on attending in person, ARDA is dedicated to making your convention experience comfortable. Every effort will be made to ensure that — on-site COVID-19 testing for all attendees, mask-wearing, six feet of social distancing at all times, limited seating in convention rooms, outdoor meal functions, all while following the latest safety guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the State of Florida.
See You There!
ARDA World has been an industry staple for years, and ARDA promises you that Timeshare Together will be no different. From invaluable education to networking to just flat-out having a good time, the opportunities to grow will be yours for the taking. Whether it’s from your home office or in person at the JW Marriott, you’ll walk away from Timeshare Together feeling better prepared to take your business — and timeshare as a whole — to the new heights. And most importantly, it’ll happen together!
“We could not be more excited to deliver the premier industry event and all that comes with it for the people of timeshare,” said Gamel. “We hope you’ll join us!”
