ResortCom Expands to Guadalajara, Mexico
Las Vegas-based ResortCom, a provider of servicing solutions for the timeshare and vacation ownership industry, has opened a new ResortCom Member Services division in Guadalajara, Mexico.
“Having an international office location makes perfect sense at this time,” said Dennis Morrissey, chief operating officer. “We selected the city due to the population and the workforce available in the region. Some of our clients currently have operations there, and this gives us more flexibility in hiring, specifically for the languages we need.
The company’s rich history spans three decades. Formerly known as Resort Communications, it handled copious amounts of paperwork, processing, telephone collections, and more for its clients. When the company moved from Orange County to San Diego in 1998, it had 55 employees and serviced 100,000 timeshare owners per year. Today, ResortCom employs more than 250 individuals and services hundreds of thousands of timeshare members and owners.
The new contact center, scheduled to open on April 1, will add approximately 20 more team members. Leading the team in Guadalajara is Jiovanny Soto, member services manager. He comes with a strong background in contact centers and customer service in the U.S. and Mexico.
“The member services team in Mexico will provide us with the much-needed resources to further assist our members, clients, and guests,” Morrissey said. “Eventually, this will lead to more flexibility for all employees. We are ultimately one member service team, just in two separate locations.
ResortCom provides timeshare management software, financial services, and contact center solutions to the hospitality industry. Its full suite of client services includes contact center solutions, member services, financial services, and reservations, enabling clients to grow at a quicker pace.
