Robert is ARDA’s Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and General Counsel. He oversees government relations and regulatory efforts to support the timeshare industry, its owners, and governing entities.
Prior to joining ARDA, Robert served as Senior Assistant Attorney General in Florida’s Office of Attorney General for six years where his focus was on consumer protection and multi-state enforcement. He led investigations and enforcement actions under the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act as well as numerous vital state and federal statutes, rules and regulations. He was instrumental to several joint investigations and enforcement actions with the Federal Trade Commission, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, and other federal and state regulatory and law enforcement agencies.
Prior to his time at the Florida Attorney General’s Office, Robert was in private legal practice handling complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts, corporate and transactional law, intellectual property law, and real estate transactions.
