ARDA Reflects on the 2024 Leadership & Policy Forum
Each fall, leaders from around the vacation ownership industry gather for ARDA’s Leadership & Policy Forum. Held in Washington, D.C., the event allows ARDA committees to meet for association and industry business while also providing new avenues for learning and networking.
This year, the Leadership & Policy Forum focused on the implications of the recent presidential and local election results on the industry and beyond.
The event kicked off with a day of productive committee meetings, followed by a welcome reception sponsored by Interval International.

Next, ARDA Trustee Members attended an exclusive Trustee Foundation Dinner, which was held at the Larz Anderson House.

Thursday's programming began with a legislative luncheon, where guest speaker Chairman Patrick McHenry, Chair of the House Financial Services Committee, discussed the Lame Duck session and the future direction of legislative efforts.

Following the luncheon, attendees heard from ARDA President & CEO Jason Gamel and ARDA Chair Gordon Gurnik on the trends and opportunities that will shape the industry in 2025.

Jason was also joined on stage by ARDA’s legislative team, who shared their thoughts about how local and national election results will affect future industry policy.

The afternoon continued with a general session featuring keynote speaker Ron Insana. Ron, who is a finance reporter, author, and CNBC senior analyst, provided insights into the potential economic impacts of the presidential election.

The final day of the Leadership & Policy Forum featured the enriching Chairman’s League Breakfast, where Michael Steele, former Chair of the RNC, former Lt. Governor of Maryland and MSNBC Political Analyst, provided an insightful look at the presidential election results and impact.
