ARDA, Trade Association for the Timeshare and Vacation Ownership Industries, Unveils New Brand
Strategic rebrand reflects the industry’s modern approach to travel
Washington, D.C. (March 4, 2025) – ARDA, the trade association for the timeshare and vacation ownership industries, has debuted its new brand, which includes an abbreviated name, a new look, a new website, and a new logo and tagline.
The decision to rebrand was made after ARDA surveyed its members to gauge how they perceive the vacation ownership industry today and how ARDA can evolve its focus to better support the industry in the future.
“The new brand represents our evolution as an association and our commitment to create the best possible environment in which the industry can thrive,” said ARDA President & CEO Jason Gamel. “It also allows us to maintain the goodwill that has been built with our association partners, the media, and leaders on Capitol Hill and in statehouses around the country over the last 50 years.”
Part of these efforts included dropping the name “American Resort Development Association” — a name that no longer reflects the future mission or products of the industry – and instead using the acronym, ARDA.
ARDA’s traditional blue and red color scheme, which reflected its bipartisan government relations work, was replaced with purple – the color that blue and red create when blended.
Additionally, the association’s logo was replaced with three different shades of purple representing the three distinct organizations under the ARDA umbrella — ARDA, the voice of the industry; ARDA ROC, the owner advocacy and legislative arm; and ARDA Research & Insights, the research arm. The three shades also represent ARDA’s three brand pillars of advocacy, innovation and insights.
Finally, ARDA has a new tagline: “Shaping the future of vacations.” The emphasis on vacations – not just timeshare or vacation ownership –represents the evolving vacation offerings from members. The tagline ensures the industry is seen not only as a great vacation product, but also as an essential part of the leisure travel sector.
