June is Pride Month, and we’re celebrating the remarkable contributions of individuals in our industry. Learn more about their inspiring stories and insights by reading below.

Q: How do you celebrate Pride month, and what does it mean to you?

A: Pride is more than just rainbows and parades; it’s a powerful reminder of the progress we’ve made and the work that still lies ahead. I enjoy celebrating by participating in local community events that honor and uplift the Pride community, highlighting both our achievements and the ongoing journey toward equality.

Q: What makes you proud to be part of your company during Pride Month?

A: What makes me proud to be part of this company is the way it uplifts and highlights the LGBTQIA+ community, sending a clear message that our associates have permission to be their true, authentic selves. Creating a safe and supportive environment and having that support come directly from the organization, makes a meaningful and lasting impact.

Q: If you could share one message with the next generation of LGBTQIA+ professionals, what would it be?

A: Don’t be afraid to embrace and express your authentic self. There’s no need to hide who you are or pretend to be someone you’re not in order to fit in or gain approval. Your individuality is your strength, and the more you allow yourself to be genuine, the more you’ll attract people and opportunities that truly align with who you are. Being true to yourself not only builds confidence, but it also fosters deeper connections and a more fulfilling life. So let go of the fear of judgment and trust that being yourself is more than enough.

Q: Can you share a time when your workplace actively supported LGBTQIA+ inclusion, and what impact that had?

A: Something as simple as handing out Pride pins and witnessing coworkers step up as supportive allies can have a powerful impact. For many associates, the workplace becomes a safe space where they feel comfortable coming out, often even before they share that part of themselves with family or friends. The way our work community responds in these moments can profoundly influence that individual’s journey. Being part of a company that actively values and demonstrates inclusivity truly makes a difference, not just in policy, but in people’s lives.

Q: What gives you hope for the future of LGBTQIA+ inclusion in our industry?

A: I remain hopeful that, together, we will keep pushing toward a more just and compassionate world. We must continue to acknowledge the importance of representation for everyone and uphold our responsibility to treat each person with dignity, respect, and love. We work in an industry that touches lives every single day, and while Pride month offers a special moment to highlight and celebrate LGBTQIA+ voices, it’s essential to remember that every individual matters, every day of the year. Unity brings strength, and love fuels hope for a brighter future.
