Q: What does Black History Month mean to you?

A: Black History Month is a time for me to slow down and really learn. It is a reminder to know the stories that shaped us, not just the ones we hear the most. I think about the sacrifices, the creativity, and the everyday people who kept going.

Q: Who are your biggest inspirations throughout Black history, and why?

A: I am inspired by Frederick Douglass because he used his mind and his words to open eyes and change lives. It’s a reminder to me that success means more when you bring people with you.

Q: What advice would you give to young Black professionals interested in following a similar career path?

A: Do not focus only on moving up; focus on making an impact where you are. Learn the role, master the basics, and treat people well. You never know how one conversation can change someone’s path. If you can encourage someone, answer a question, or open a door, do it.

Q: What key lessons from your career would you like to pass on to others?

A: Never stop learning. Every season teaches you something if you pay attention. I have learned that growth is not just for you, it is for the people you serve too. The more you learn about the job, the business, and people, the better you can support your team, your candidates, and your leaders.

Q: What excites you most about the future of this industry?

A: I am excited about the future because this industry keeps evolving, and timeshare is full of opportunity. There are so many ways to build a career, develop leadership, and expand your skills. I also enjoy being part of something that really impacts others.
