ARDA’s strength lies in the commitment and dedication of its volunteer leadership. Volunteer leadership affords its members strong networking opportunities and high visibility, and contributes valuable resources and support to the membership and the organization health of ARDA.
About Committee Appointments
- Committee appointment terms are for two years.
- Committee requirements include attendance at a minimum of two meetings per year, in conjunction with larger ARDA meetings.
- ARDA committees are open only to ARDA members
- Any ARDA member is welcome to attend any committee meeting that is not designated “by invitation only,” even if you cannot commit to a two-year timeframe.

General ARDA Committees
The ARDA Board of Directors conducts, manages, and controls the affairs and property of the Association.

The ARDA Executive Committee exercises all authority on behalf of the ARDA Board in the management of the Association, between meetings of the Board when prompt action is necessary.

The Audit Committee's role is to act on behalf of the governing boards of ARDA, ROC, ROC-PAC and the ARDA International Foundation and assist those Boards in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities with respect to all material aspects of financial reporting. This includes financial statements, reporting processes and systems of internal controls regarding finance and accounting, except for those functions specifically related to the responsibilities of another standing committee, such as the Investment Committee, and ensuring compliance with applicable legal, ethical and regulatory requirements.

The CFO Council comprises CFOs of member timeshare companies and provides consultation to ARDA in regards to accounting related issues.

The Ethics Committee oversees the administration and enforcement of the ARDA Code of Ethics and recommends changes to the code.

The Finance Committee provides resources and solid industry financial data to assist members in working with lenders or finance sources.

The General Counsels Council is a place for the general counsels of member companies to assemble and discuss important issues facing the industry and best practices for addressing those issues.

The Global Alliance of Timeshare is an opportunity for international organizations who represent timeshare to come together with ARDA to discuss policy, regulations and public perception.

The HR Council is a place for chief human resource officers to meet and discuss pressing issues facing the industry and to discuss best practices for addressing these issues.

The Investment Committee acts on behalf of the governing boards of ARDA, ROC, ROC-PAC and the ARDA International Foundation and assists those boards in fulfilling its oversight responsibility for the investment assets of the Funds. The Investor Relations Council works with ARDA leadership, AIF Research, and the Reputation Management Council to help harmonize the various vacation ownership messages — creating a unified voice for research and messaging delivered to the financial markets.

The Timeshare Young Professionals Group (TYPG) is dedicated to integrating young professionals and new industry entrants with mentors and existing leaders into ARDA through networking opportunities and educational initiatives.
