September 15th – October 15th is Hispanic Heritage Month, and we’re celebrating the remarkable contributions of individuals in our industry. Learn more about their inspiring stories and insights by reading below.

Q: Can you share about your cultural identity?

A: I identify as American, but my Cuban heritage is a big part of who I am. Being born in the U.S. to Cuban parents allowed me to grow up between two cultures. At family gatherings, I was surrounded by food, music, and stories that connected me to my Cuban roots. I’ve also embraced the opportunities and values of being American.

Q: What does Hispanic Heritage Month mean to you, and how has your heritage shaped who you are today?

A: Hispanic Heritage Month means honoring where I come from and the sacrifices my family made so I could have the life I live today. Being the child of Cuban parents has shaped me with a deep respect for family, tradition, and resilience. I carry with me the lessons of hard work, community, and never forgetting my roots.

Q: What advice — personal or professional — would you give to other Latinx professionals?

A: I would encourage Latinx professionals to embrace their heritage as a strength, not something to downplay. Our culture gives us adaptability and a deep sense of community — qualities that are valuable in any workplace. Never hesitate to speak up, share your perspective, and bring your authentic self to the table, because diversity of thought drives innovation.

Q: What impact has your heritage had on your career journey?

A: Growing up with Cuban parents, I learned the values of resilience, hard work, and adaptability. Watching their sacrifices taught me to be grateful for every opportunity and to persevere through challenges. These lessons have guided how I approach my career with determination, optimism, and a strong sense of responsibility.
