September 15th – October 15th is Hispanic Heritage Month, and we’re celebrating the remarkable contributions of individuals in our industry. Learn more about their inspiring stories and insights by reading below.

Q: Can you share about your cultural identity?

A: Being Puerto Rican means celebrating every achievement, no matter where we are. It’s treating others like family and warmly welcoming everyone around us. It’s dancing and singing until sunrise, embracing life with joy and passion. Most importantly, it’s never giving up, always giving your best, and carrying the pride of saying, “I am Boricua.”

Q: What does Hispanic Heritage Month mean to you, and how has your heritage shaped who you are today?

A: Hispanic Heritage Month celebrates our shared roots and unique cultures. My heritage taught me compassion, resilience, and pride. As a former member of the Puerto Rican National Weightlifting Team, I trained with perseverance, knowing I represented my island. Breaking the national youth record wasn’t just personal; it was my way of making Puerto Rico proud and honoring my community.

Q: What advice — personal or professional — would you give to other Latinx professionals?

A: My advice to Latinx professionals is to always hold your head up high, aim big, and never forget where you come from.

Q: What impact has your heritage had on your career journey?

A: My heritage shaped my make-it-happen mentality, driving my career and personal growth. Puerto Ricans are naturally hospitable, caring deeply for others and making them feel welcomed and valued. Combining this hospitality with resilience has been the perfect foundation for my career, a path I would proudly choose again without hesitation.
