Q: Can you share about your cultural identity?

A: I am originally from Panama and began my career with Westgate Resorts in 2005 as an International Intern in a Front Desk role. Over the years, I’ve grown through multiple leadership roles and today I serve as the Executive Director of Resort Operations overseeing all National Directors for the Resort Operations, Corporate Laundry facilities, Game Rooms, and Spa operations — among many other corporate projects and initiatives. My Hispanic heritage has fueled my determination to prove that with hard work and perseverance, you can achieve your goals and much more. My journey is a reminder that every step forward matters, and that pushing yourself beyond your comfort zone leads to growth. As a Latin American professional I believe we often have to prove ourselves and work harder to accomplish what we want. This makes each success even more meaningful and worthy. From language barriers to cultural perceptions, the challenges are real, but so are the rewards.

Q: What does Hispanic Heritage Month mean to you, and how has your heritage shaped who you are today?

A: Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month reminds us that anything is possible—our efforts and sacrifices are not in vain. Many people draw inspiration from the success stories of others, and highlighting these journeys serves as motivation for those working toward their own goals and aspirations.

Q: What advice (personal or professional) would you give to other Latinx professionals?

A: To those working toward your next career goal: stay focused, work hard, and never underestimate your potential. Your efforts today are the foundation for your success tomorrow.
