ARDA Inside Look | Issue III
On Wednesday, May 20, 2020, ARDA took part in the first meeting as a part of the RESET Task Force. The event was headlined by Jeb Bush, former governor of Florida and the president and chairman of the Foundation for Excellence in Education, and Craig Fugate, the former director of the Florida Division of Emergency Management and former head of FEMA.
Formed by the Associated Industries of Florida, Florida Retail Federation, National Federation of Independent Business and Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association, the RESET Task Force was formed to focus on providing industry-specific policy recommendations to the Florida Legislature and bringing forth initiatives that will seek to help all of Florida’s economy rebound from the effects of COVID-19 and future economic slowdowns.
The RESET Task Force is composed of key business groups and associations from all across the State of Florida and currently boasts 50 organizations and is growing. The task force includes representatives from all areas of impacted business interests and industries, as well as the health care associations who have served on the frontline of the pandemic, all offering a unique and firsthand account of the current situation and future needs. ARDA is pleased to participate and share the perspective and represent the interests of the timeshare industry as the task force prepares its recommendations.
