Q: Can you share about your cultural identity?

A: I’m Brazilian. The Brazilian culture is diverse.

Q: What does Hispanic Heritage Month mean to you, and how has your heritage shaped who you are today?

A: It means every Hispanic and Latino culture coming together and celebrating one another, our traditions, our food, and our music — and being proud of where we came from. Heritage shapes who you are by influencing your personal values, beliefs, and a sense of belonging.

Q: What advice — personal or professional — would you give to other Latinx professionals?

A: Show respect, acknowledge and value others’ opinions and feelings, be polite and courteous, empathize with different perspectives. Show compassion and gratitude.

Q: What impact has your heritage had on your career journey?

A: My workplace is a multicultural environment. It has impacted me by feeling valued, accepted, and respected, motivating me to be committed to my work.
